I didn't want to be “famous” nor did I have any interest in becoming monetarily wealthy. I wanted to have an experience of a lifetime - K. Day

Photographer - Amber Von Cure / Hair - Imari Jamison / Cloth - Linda Tijerina / Make Up - Amanda Gleason
Official Link : Kat Day

Melvi - What are the things that's keeping you busy these days?
Kat - When I'm not teaching home school, I am involved in writing for a nonprofit homeless project called “The Stone Pillow” (founded by artist Seth Camm) and of course creating as much art as possible in my free time.

Melvi - Would you like to share with us a few things about your modeling career?
Kat - For me, modeling worked in two parts : The commercial end was definitely work, definitely jobs and in no way define who I am as a human being or artist. The creative art photography end in which I wasn't paid but was able to express myself as an artist were the only real reason I even set foot into the industry. That's where my passion was, the blood, sweat and tears. I've modeled for too many companies (national and global) to mention them all, but I can list some of the "bigger" gigs and publications ; MAXIM Magazine - online [Holiday Hotties Segment 2009], The San Antonio CURRENT, Essay Magazine, Study Breaks Magazine -several times - [I was also the 2008 Cover Girl], ECHO the zine (for which I also wrote several articles and a few of my creative works were published as well), The Biker Guide (Florida-Based Magazine) and for companies like (but not limited to): Toni & Guy, Salon Rouge, Vintage House, Red Skye Comics, Marcos Orlando, Bombay Ranch, Rockin' Bones Clothing Co., Hampton Bodywerks, Gibson Guitars, Ducati. I've also been painted, drawn and animated by artists all over the world.

Melvi - Beside modeling what are the other things you have been involved in?
Kat - I'm not sure where to even begin on this one. I am a writer and have been published numerous times. And of course I create art to have, to give and to sell almost every day. But I also balance all of it with philanthropy. Charity is a primary focus for me and my family, giving really. So I get involved with various projects which seek to help children, homeless and animals here in my city.

Melvi - If there's no photo shoot or other things to do, then how you will spend your day?
Kat - Adventuring. I am completely unpredictable and often find excuses to just walk out the door and start looking for found art scraps or sketching out a new design for the next thing I'm going to build, or simply creating with my 5 year old autistic son & 15 year old stepdaughter who is also an artist. We even sing songs together and make comedic videos. Essentially, the party doesn't start until we arrive!

Melvi - How do people respond to your work?
Kat - I get extreme love or hate responses. There has never been a middle ground for me, which is in itself a good thing. I now have fans from all over the world and they are pretty die-hard. I've just been honored to have created such ripples in the pool of the universe, to see that I stir others to get up and want to create too. It's my underlying goal; to be infectious with my drive to create, to live it. I feel the world would be a better place if more people were so impassioned.

Melvi - How did you progress yourself in this industry? Would you like to share few words on this?
Kat - I never let anyone “handle” me. I have been a free agent my entire life. Freelance (at least for me) is the only way to go. I didn't want to be “famous” nor did I have any interest in becoming monetarily wealthy. I wanted to have an experience of a lifetime.

So, on my own terms I learned photography and photo shop, the ins and outs of the industry and literally educated myself into such a powerhouse that I didn't “need” anyone else to propel me forward. And it wasn't until I got to that point that bigger name companies began to recognize and request me. In other words, I had to do it MY way or not at all, and it continues to work quite well for me today. In living this sort of work/art philosophy, I've been able to stay in that tricky middle ground of being “known” though not exactly “famous”, I have my anonymity when I need it for daily things like grocery runs, but fans occasionally recognize me when I go out and about in entertainment settings. This is not an easy thing to do, but it's priceless to me.

Photographer - Brian Barbier
Melvi - What do you want to accomplish from this industry?
Kat - Changing the world. All of it. I wish to shake the very foundations of what everyone thinks about reality and about how we should be treating each other. And I know people listen more when they recognize the voice, when they come to know you enough through your patterns to see that they really can put stock in what you are saying either literally or through your artwork (modeling, etc.). There is no other reason for me to model---not even as a creative outlet, as I already make art like breathing. It is to achieve influence and change only, as I know I am not going to be here forever in this form and must make as much of the time given to me as I possibly can.

Melvi - How would you describe your style? What is fun and interesting about your style?
Kat - A lot of people have tried to pin me as "grunge" or a gypsy. To be honest, I am true-blood bohemian through and through. I dress myself based on my feelings, not so much appearance. I suppose my artistic nature can just be seen in everything I wear, even my kick-back clothes (as you are sure to find a paint mark or torch burn or glitter explosion somewhere on the garments). OH! And I keep my nails short on purpose so they don't get in the way of sculpting and typing; true story. And I only paint them because the ink and paint stains pretty much stay under my nails. That is one thing about me that my girly friends have poked at me for over time. In truth, I am a very masculine-minded human, very tomboy at heart, even if my style doesn't always reflect that.

Melvi - When you first started modeling how serious were you about this profession?
Kat - Funny story; I only even started modeling to use myself as a subject for my photo shop studies. After publicizing just a few things I did for fun, for learning, I began to receive requests from photographers in Hawaii (where I was living at the time), and later from all over the US, to model for them. I felt silly at first and had no interest. As time went by, my significant other talked me into giving it a try. In fact, as an artist, I had almost looked down on modeling as not to be taken seriously. It wasn't until I was in the thick of it and receiving bigger checks, working harder and meeting serious people that I began to completely change the way I viewed modeling. Now I have a firm respect for it, when it is used in a way that does in fact seek to insight thought and catalyze change.

Melvi - Who are some of your favorite local models, designers and photographers?
Kat - This has to be my very favorite question because I feel as though I may be good at what I do, but I'm just a kid on an adventure. To me, the real heavy-hitters are our San Antonio bad asses: Jade Noir, Stretch Photos, Chrisitine Elaine Eakin, Mandi Gallegos, Rex Hausmann, Nik Soupe, Tommy Munster, Lesley Fielding, Kadiva Alcorta, Claudia Martinez, Jessica Melendez, Seth Camm, Ivan Leos, Mike Nesloney to name a few, but I could fill up an entire page. The point is, this city is so completely ripe with talent that I have always seen myself as a big fish in a small pond filled with other big fish. Ha!

Melvi - How do you communicate with the media out there? Are they professionally interested to help models like you?
Kat - Actually, I have a lot of close friends and lovely colleagues in the television and film industry who often collaborate with me on the occasional artistic or charity endeavor. I've always had a good rapport with stations since I began shooting stills behind the scenes during filming on various things back in 2008. Now, it's a "just a phone call away" situation.

Melvi - What kind of atmosphere do you look forward in your shooting?
Kat - Even if it's the most serious project, I need it to feel like I'm just hanging out with open-minded good-humored people. I hate overly-clinical feeling jobs. When the crew and photographers are too stiff, it becomes work for me and though I may put on the facade that I'm completely professional and friendly, I am hiding my irritation and inner conflict. I need the atmosphere to be uplifting and humorous, not draining and institutional.
Photographer - Jade Hernandez

Melvi - What is your opinion on the current state of modeling around the world?
Kat - To be honest, my world views are a bit expansive. (Not trying to answer deeply, but I am only what I am.) I can see through every artistically expressive outlet coming from these current times that human beings still have a lot of maturing to do as a species to begin with, and the modeling industry reflects that point the best. I think that society has become like a spoiled brat who isn't entertained unless they are being absolutely jolted. And thus you get a bunch of "art for shock" that literally becomes a pissing contest between artists and institutions on who can create the most absolutely useless and nonfunctional (though shiny and shocking) substance and call it art. I think the industry has forgotten art's key purpose to begin with (to be the voice of those who cannot articulate) as the focus continues to shift from political statements to sponsor advertisement and flat-out regurgitated brainwashy fluff. Overall, not impressed BUT so hopeful for the future as there are many artists who are digging their heels in and getting up to do something about it. Gives me goosebumps to see what happens next. In the end, I believe art wins.

Melvi - How much do you believe in this statement: "Success depends more on what you know than whom you know."?
Kat - Again, a tricky question...it depends on what your personal definition of success is to begin with. As a scientist, I have to say that the success of any effort depends largely upon the forward momentum and demeanor of the subject in question. Who you know isn't going to help you if you're an egotistical douche bag. Nor will what you know help you if you don't attempt to convince anyone to let you get your foot in the door socially, either. In my personal findings, success is determined by choice alone. Everything is a choice, failure included. We can choose to educate ourselves at a trade and become efficient and invaluable...and we can also choose to be really friendly and kind to that studio executive who knows the creator of that show we're trying to get on... It's not difficult. It's people who decide to make it difficult for themselves or others.

Melvi - How has modeling changed other aspects of your life?
Kat - It's made everything more fluid, even down to meeting new people and receiving opportunities that most people don't. It's added much travel experience to my life, put me in situations where I am able to learn more about cultures and social psychology. It's grown me in so many ways and for that I am grateful.

Melvi - What have you learned from this industry?
Kat - It's given me perspective, having seen "the other side of the looking glass". I get that the entire world is just a construct, everything is smoke and mirrors, and human beings really are all equal. I've seen magic and I've seen depravity. In all, I've learned more about who we really are and why we're really here and modeling strangely has been a giant vehicle for that.

Melvi - Name at least 5 things that we don't know about you or didn't come up in this interview.
Kat - 1.) I can draw and write backward, forward, and upside down with both hands and feet.
2.) I have an affinity for decoding and translating, often going through ancient text and esoteric diagrams to study, to learn...and it just soothes me.
3.) Strangers come to me for help almost every day, reaching out often anonymously from here to the other side of the planet for advice and guidance and THAT is what I view as my true purpose.
4.) I have gone from the suburbs to homeless to living in a condo on the side of a volcano, I've touched the ocean floor and flown planes through the clouds (still learning, dad's a pilot), I've died on the table and had to be resuscitated at 17 and have been living every day like the adventure it should be since then. All that to say, I have lived many charmed lives in one and I am only 34.
5.) I have enough journals (dating as far back as age 7) to fill a library wall, and I am far from done telling my life's story. I do this because I know there is a bigger point to all of this than most of us are aware of; I know people can sift through all of it long after I'm gone and hopefully find some of that meaning in the pages...

Melvi - From your experience what are the things that make a good model and good photographers?
Kat - The same things that make a good person; humility, honesty and openness. Egos stifle projects, misleading can taint a career and closing off from the world can turn the audience against you. This is the soundest advice I have. Those three key components are necessary.

Melvi - What will be your advice to those people who are just entering in this field?
Kat - Make sure it is what you really want before you invest a single moment of your time or resources. Truly look into what it demands from you and make sure you're willing to deal with that.

Melvi - Ok, this space is for you. You can say anything here like, a message to our readers, or things that we forgot to ask or you felt like sharing with us.
Kat - "We birth our ideas, nurture and then send them out into the world. there is an innate understanding that once we release them, they no longer belong to us. Very much so are our works our children, we who are the artists and the thinkers and the scientists... We have to be willing to let them go. And if we prepared them well, surely what comes back to us will sound like praises and feels not so dissimilar from the way a parent feels, swollen with pride for their children. The greatest story ever told is us. It's all of us. Never stop telling it. " ~K. Day

Mirror by Sweta

Mirror mirror on the wall Even though I make you break and fall You keep on reflecting what's inside I'm sorry I have no pride My self esteem is under the ground I think it will never be found But I've learned from you That once we get hearts broken We reflect the love that's hidden too Every time mirror reflect the truth in me when I see! Suddenly I started seeing the devil in me And the pain inside my heart that I can't speak Its all secret between myself and I But people still take it as a lie Cause they don't know After all these pain how mischievously I survive

Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. - Jyoti Dhakal

Jyoti Dhakal is 20 years old girl whose level of thinking will simply amaze us. She is beyond our thoughts and in this interview she genuinely proves us how intellectual, confident and careful woman she will become in few years.

Contact Jyoti here.

Melvi - Hi Jyoti, Can you tell us what are you doing these days?
Jyoti - Well this days I am totally busy on my study.

Melvi - Congrats for winning the title Miss Beauty with a Purpose. Please tell us how was the experience of Miss Teen 2015?
Jyoti - Thank you so much. Miss teen 2015 was the best experience of my life. I have learned a lot from it. During my miss teen days, I wasn’t that confident in the beginning, but gained it as the finale approached. The sheer joy of performing on stage was so overwhelming that winning the competition did not matter anymore. I think this experience was a major reason that my confidence was sky high at miss teen queen2015. I was extremely focused and determined. I am not a peppy teenager anymore. I have grown as a person, and that has helped me ace it.

Melvi - What does really "Miss Beauty with a Purpose" means to you?
Jyoti - People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within .Beauty with a purpose not only define outer beauty but the inner beauty too.Being compassionate towards others and helping the underprivileged or simply anyone and not expecting anything in return is actually mean beauty with purpose.

Melvi - Is it necessary for every girl to take part in beauty contest. What's your view onthis?
Jyoti - Beauty contest is an opportunities for girls who are interested and are likely to succeed in this area. .Pageants teach the same values as sports - goal setting, dedication, sportsmanship, etc. They also encourage a very "me" oriented generation to champion a cause in their community, to volunteer and to fund raise. Participants are given a chance to show off their talent. And often, participants are given challenging questions to answer, which they must use their brains to answer. In conclusion, beauty pageants are good for females. Though there is a lot of foundation, mascara, and money involved, beauty pageants really give people a chance to show who they are.

Melvi - Are you going to be a regular contestant of beauty contest or there's another plan?
Jyoti - For few years I want to focus on my study i.e. to clear the bachelor in engineering with good marks and after that I would surely be a part of it if i get a chance.

Melvi - How much you know about current state of Nepali Modeling Industry?
Jyoti - Previously modeling industry was just a part time job and is unable to support the lives of individuals. But the scenario has entirely changed these days. Now, the modeling career has metamorphosed into one of the most rewarding and sought after career options in Nepal. Modeling is now one of the most fascinating career options in glamour world of Nepal. In fact, there has been a fabulous boost in the Nepalese ad industry with the expansion of consumerism and media. And many youths consider modeling as an attractive career option. Modeling is also considered as a gateway for entering into the national and international film industry. So, Modeling Agencies in Nepal need to understand and develop this sector considering the global modeling scenario.

Melvi - What's the best thing about you? Do you think that you have that unique style to steal the show?
Jyoti - Ahhhhh.. I think the best thing about me is I understand people very well.

Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees and clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work will be authentic. Originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery celebrate it if you feel like it. It’s not where you take things from it’s twhere you take them to. For stealing any show the main thing is ure attitude and I think I do have that attitude and I do have a creativity to create my own style.

Melvi - People always gets upset on someone's command. Why is this? Any clue?
Jyoti - Command is the harsh way for asking for something. There’s a nature in human being. We tend to be superior and everyone has that. Due to such narcissism people get upset when someone commands them. We are people and we are supposed to get upset. It’s a human nature.

Melvi - As a computer engineering student what's your possible chance of helping poor and needy people?
Jyoti - I would make a commercial App through which we can save some of the money and can use it for the poor and needy people. I can also develop a app which will locate hospitals which will make people easier to reach in need. If it was possible I would definitely make a app which can make food and other basic need to poor people which is possible only in my dream. So I will definitely help the poor and needy people by saving some money out of my work and use it for them. :d

Melvi - Name 5ive things that we don't know about you.
Jyoti - 1.) I am vegetarian. 2.) Softhearted girl. 3.) I'm an emotional freak, I cry when I'm happy, or sad, or excited. 4.) I just love adventure. & 5. ) Trustworthy.

Melvi - According to you, what's so wrong about this country? Can you say few words on this?
Jyoti - The main problem is the people’s mentality. Everybody is so much busy in their own life. There is a vast different in doing and saying. Our country can easily develop but the main thing is no body is working in a correct order for the sake of country development. We have capacity to develop our own stuff on our own country but no body is working on it . there are lots of things which need to be focus to which can help further in the development . people are still backward in their thinking . todays youth are so much active and can change the country but the thing is government is not helping them focusing in it.

Melvi - We always appreciate our likes but, what about our dislikes? Is it necessary to have dislikes in our life?
Jyoti - If your number one goal is to make sure that everyone likes and approves of you, then you risk sacrificing your uniqueness, and, therefore, your excellence. I believe people are good at heart. Still, it’s human nature to test each other’s boundaries. When you’re willing to risk being disliked, you’re able to say no when you need to. Your yeses and nos shapes your future. You could use your energy to make daily inventories of everything that’s wrong the money you don’t have, the esteem you didn’t earn, the people you disappointed. Or you could commit to being your best, and then just sit back and smile. Life will always be a balancing act. Learn to teeter in serenity. So I guess it is necessary to have dislikes in our life .

Melvi - What are the things that make you sad and why's that?
Jyoti - Whenever my parents say they’re disappointed in me, i can’t help but get sad. They’re awful, the absolute worst, but they can’t think you’re the absolute worst. Listening to certain songs makes me sad. And when I am depressed, I put on a playlist that’s titled Kill me. So I feel more depressed. Getting ditch by your friends is so sad. I have this excitement building about my fun-filled social day and then it gets ripped away from by a single text that says, “I’m sorry.

Melvi - Lastly, this space is for you. You can say anything here, words to our readers or things we should have asked to you etc.
Jyoti - This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will ? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about. Forgive others, forgive yourself, give a chance to others, and yourself, make a change.

"You get hurt, people die, animal goes extinct. Life's a dread. People have different views. Forgive others, forgive yourself, give a chance to others, and yourself, make a change. It's ok not to be happy, it's human nature, we're born with different emotions. Society always tell us to be happy but that's definitely not gonna happen all day everyday."

Cheryl Choe is from Singapore with a big and loud personality. She holds a Diploma in Music Business and Integrated Event Management. She also has a Bachelor certificate in Commerce majoring in International Business. She has already achieved so many things in this industry and she dreams of running her own fashion show one day.

Melvi - First of all, thanks a lot for approving this interview and please share us what things are keeping you busy these days and what does fashion really means to you?
Cheryl - Hello! Thanks for the interview. I'm a full-time bartender, and working hospitality in Singapore pretty much means 3/4 of your life are dedicated to work. Cause you have to take into consideration that after you wake up, get ready to go to to work, for about 10 to 12 hours, and when you get home, it's usually at unearthly hours and there's nothing much you can do as you feel exhausted after a long day of work so you head to bed and the same thing goes on the very next day.

Melvi - Would you like to share us few things about your modeling career?
Cheryl - There're too many too share! I've learnt heaps about people, how we all think differently, but it's pretty cool when you meet someone that have the same mentality with you. Most importantly, we share the same passion and never to give up what you love.

Melvi - Beside modeling what are the other things you have been involved?
Cheryl - I've always been in the events and hospitality industry, which comprises of music, parties, etc. Stuff that gets you wasted essentially. Haha. But on the other hand I do love outdoor activities, I use to be in volleyball, I love playing basketball, and learning how to skateboard even though I suck at it. LOL. I love rock climbing too, and many more. Last year I actually picked up pole dancing, and this year I'm picking up DJ-ing classes. I just like learning random stuff. Planning to go to Phuket to learn Muay Thai next year too!

Melvi - If there's no photo shoot and other things to do then how you will spend your day?
Cheryl - Work mainly, or sleep, which I'm deprive off. Or preparing for the next shoot and getting ready for my personal projects :)

Melvi - How do people responses to your work?
Cheryl - Most of my mates are amazed and they think it's really pretty or beautiful, which I thank most HMUAs that created that. And the photographer that manage to capture that moment. It's just an amazing feeling to know that people appreciate your work.

Melvi - How did you progress yourself in this industry? Would you like to share few words on this?
Cheryl - It isn't easy, especially when I do mainly nude, and especially being in Singapore, a 1st world country with a 3rd world mentality. I've struggled, but now, I couldn't care less about what people think because you can never satisfy every single individual on earth.

Melvi - What do you want to accomplish from this industry?
Cheryl - I just want to prove that, anyone of any races, that are short, and alternative, with tattoos etc, can make it mainstream too. It doesn't have to be girls that are 1.8m and above to be consider as a model.

Melvi - How would you describe your style? What is fun and interesting about your style?
Cheryl - I wouldn't say I have a style. Haha. I'm a chameleon. I'm a plain canvas. I can be transformed to any look with the right clothes and makeup. The left side of my body is covered with tattoo, which makes me very "alternative" I'd say, and the right side is clean, hence i can still go for the commercial look.

Melvi - When you first started modeling how much you were serious about this profession?
Cheryl - I was seriously involved with modeling work. I just never thought that I'd make it this far. I've always been doing it freelance, part-time. If I got ask to do a job I'll take it but if I don't I never bother looking for it. But now I realized that this is one thing I'm actually good at and I'm planning to do it full time next year before my youth runs out!

Melvi - Who are some of your fave local models, designers and photographers?
Cheryl - I started modeling in Singapore 6 years ago but mainly doing amature hotel glamour lingerie stuff. I only properly started my modeling career when I was in Perth for my studies a couple of years back, hence mainly these people are those that I've known in Perth. Jasmine Ng, a good mate of mine, I'd say is my favourite model, very aspiring model, and so is Peach Pankhurst, a model, and now a crystal jewelry designer, a happy hippie which brings joy to people! I haven't actually worked with many designers but I'd say Sheridan Joyce, she used me for her university assignment, and I was really excited cause for once, my height wasn't a problem, and she gave me the opportunity to represent her work. After which, I got another job and modeled for Mal K Maduka, another amazing designer which than scored a mentorship with the legendary Jimmy Choo. I have too many photographers that I adore so I'm gonna name a few, Julie Brooker, Ashlee McLernon, Lem Cheng Hai, Kevin Lee, Simon Marshall, Martin Quinlan, Khaliesah Anastasi, Tami Xiang, Darren Wirth, Collin Kerr, Danny Reardon, Benjamin Siew, etc. Also since I've included the photographers, I have to name some of the hairstylists and makeup artists that could make it possible, cause without them, I'd be just a plain Jane. They are Zennie Cassan, Lauren Payne, Sarah Penno, Lisa Polini, Boom Jui, Ted Ng, Dollvina Van Luyn, Sheereen Lewis, etc. These are the people that I've personally worked with them. They are an absolute joy to work with and without them, I wouldn't be where I am.

Melvi - How do you communicate with media out there? Are they professionally interested to help models like you?
Cheryl - I usually just use Facebook, Instagram or Model Mayhem, and I sort out everything by myself. In terms of looking for work or advertising, it's a one man operation job.

Melvi - What kind of environment you look forward in your shooting?
Cheryl - I believe that every studio/location I'm at, I have to feel safe. Of course there has to have mutual trust between the photographer and yourself. If anyone feels uneasy during a set, the images wouldn't turn out great that's for sure.

Melvi - What is your opinion on the current state of modeling around the world?
Cheryl - The alternatives are becoming more mainstream, which is amazing. There are more opportunities given to people. Freelance models are actually as equally good as agency models.

Melvi - How much do you believe in this, success depends more on what you know than whom you know?
Cheryl - To a certain extend, yes. I've had my fair share of luck by being selected for a casting, then the next subsequent jobs are recommended from the people that we use to work together. Sometimes I get a random tag from Facebook by a mate (that isn't in the industry), to some post that is looking for a model.

Melvi - How has modeling changed other aspects of your life?
Cheryl - I can be whoever I want, during a shoot. It allows me to bring out my creativity in the busy environment I lived in. It gives me a voice.

Melvi - What is the best and least thing you like about modeling? What will be your piece of advice to new comers?
Cheryl - Best thing would be the satisfaction of the outcome, it's always worth it. The least is the usual politics and bitching in every industry. You get hated on but this is life. It's a dog eat dog world out there. My best advice would be don't give up. Find something that you're good at and use that as your strength.

Melvi - Name at least 5 things that we don't know about you or didn't came up in this interview.
Cheryl - 1. I like rubber ducks and I collect them. Lol. 2. I sleep in the same room with mum, dad, sister and sister's boyfriend. 3. I don't like eating veggies. 4. I'm an emotional freak, I cry when I'm happy, or sad, or excited. Haha. 5. Lastly, I like fishing :D

Melvi - From your experience what are the things that makes a good model and good photographers?
Cheryl - Being a good model doesn't mean just having a good face, do some research, learn some poses, turn up for your shoot on time, don't accept a job cause it's paid and then turns out that you have certain restrictions. Being a good photographer I'd say be respectful, of course that goes 2 way, but never ever touch a model, without permission, know your stuff, if you're a new photographer, be honest. Lastly, be honest, communication goes both way, discuss a shoot and plan well before the actual shoot, it's not something you can just rock up in jeans or skirt and go to a location with a DSLR. Unless either of you gets paid, that's a different story.

Melvi - Of all the events you have been part of which is your most memorable one?
Cheryl - There's too many to name, from the first time I did my first catwalk for a hairs how, to my first outdoor shoot in the nature, and trying to hide from the public when doing nude. Haha. It's been an exciting adventure. Too many to even remember :)

Melvi - Ok, this space is for you. You can say anything here like, message to our readers, or things that we forgot to ask or you felt like sharing with us.
Cheryl - This is a bit off from modeling but as we all know, the world is becoming a sad sad place to live in. Many a times I felt that life isn't worth while. You get hurt, people die, animal goes extinct. Life's a dread. People have different views. Forgive others, forgive yourself, give a chance to others, and yourself, make a change. It's ok not to be happy, it's human nature, we're born with different emotions. Society always tell us to be happy but that's definitely not gonna happen all day everyday. Never take things for granted. I'm not a saint, nor I'm the kindest soul. I've done several mistakes. I'm not the best, but I try to be better than yesterday. Peace. x
